Dorkatorium Game Studios - Game/Level Design Intern
2014
I worked as a game and level design intern for Dorkatorium Games during a summer period of four months. During that time I helped develop a large part of the company's flagship game: Gnomepocalypse. My main duties and responsibilities included:

Participated in design sessions to create outline of game experience.

Built game worlds.

Used entity scripting to create cinematic sequences of gameplay.

Working with artists, animators, writers, and programmers to implement elements such as art, animation, story, and design requirements.

Participated in observed play testing and created work items based on observations and analysis of play testing data.
UAT Game Studios - Game/Level Designer
2012 - 2014
I worked as a game and level designer for UAT Game Studios (A specific set of classes based solely on emulating a real-life game studio) while obtaining my Bachelor's Degree in Game Design from UAT (I completed the four-year degree in two years because I was able to transfer credits from my first Bachelor's Degree). During my tenure I collaborated on five university games including: Princess with a Rocket Launcher and Lou's Adventure which I took on the role of team lead and earned accolades such as 2nd Place Overall Best-in-Show at the UAT Senior Innovation Project Fair. Though I worked on many projects at UAT, my primary duties and responsibilities included:

Prototyping and completing original games for multiple platforms using the full game production pipeline

Complete, polished, game design documentation

Creating and implementing game elements, systems, and play mechanics using industry-standard tools, techniques and production methods

Assisting in art and programming asset creation using industry-standard tools and pipelines

Dysart Unified School District - Teacher
2010 - 2013, 2015
I worked as a teacher in the Dysart Unified School District in Surprise, Arizona for three years. I taught a multi-aged second, third, and fourth grade class; as well as, middle school science for grades sixth, seventh, and eighth. The majority of my responsibilities included:
